About you

This role is responsible for the build and maintenance of the Crunch marketing website. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role which will require you to take technical ownership of the website and use your developer experience to push Webflow beyond its native limits by producing custom code where required.

This role will cover all aspects of website ownership including adding new pages, providing creative solutions to problems, and producing embedded custom applications that drive traffic and help marketing achieve their goals.

You will work closely with our UX Designer, Marketing team and key stakeholders to ensure the website is performant, eye-catching, and SEO optimised, whilst build times remain efficient and meet business timescales.

This role can be either a full time or part time role (minimum of 16 hours per week) on weekdays and hours/days of work are negotiable.

About You:

  • This role is open to applicants from anywhere in the UK. All we need is for you to be able to work from home in a comfortable, private and distraction free environment.
  • The usual working hours are as agreed during Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
  • We need you to have a solid internet connection (a minimum of 10-12 Mbps upload speed).
  • We'll provide you with all the equipment you need to get set up before you start with us - so there's no need to supply your own.

About the role

Role responsibilities:

  • Own the entire lifecycle of a project from receiving a requirements brief, through to delivering a published site - including stakeholder sign-off, and page build in webflow.
  • Work on the priorities set by the Marketing team stakeholders as your primary source of work and guidance.
  • Ensure our website design is user-centric and responsive with mobile-first principles applied.
  • Have a good understanding of SEO and how decisions may affect organic search results.
  • Stay up to date with Google Algorithm updates and design pages that Google will index and rank.
  • Work alongside the UX Designer to ensure a quality customer journey in changes and new pages.
  • Work with the Marketing team to continually improve conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain performant, well tested website pages that adhere to defined website standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure development remains as efficient and maintainable as possible by championing reusable code, utilising the Design System, and third party-plugins where sensible to do so and that pass all google core web vitals checks (e.g. countdown timers, cookie banners, form engines).
  • Use your experience to offer estimates on tasks in your backlog, then deliver on time and to the specifications agreed upon.
  • Be willing to listen to and act on constructive feedback from all members of the team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in order to keep an open and fresh perspective, hone your skills and ensure our company website remains innovative and performant.
  • Liaise with other team members, departments and stakeholders to ensure schedules and tasks are well communicated, and deliverables meet expectations.
  • Actively search for areas benefiting from improvement to continually improve the experience offered (e.g. performance, tech debt reduction, simplification and modernisation of code).
  • Perform a regular refinement exercise to ensure all website changes made directly by stakeholders (CMS) adhere to brand and style guides, and are optimised where necessary.
  • Utilise all resources available to produce the desired result. This may involve requesting additional Developer or Design guidance if deemed required from yourself or others.
  • Where required, Javascript should be used to push beyond native webflow limitations (e.g. third party API integrations such as Trustpilot, multi-step forms, or cookie management solutions).
  • Work alongside our Software Javascript Developers to maintain a seamless integration between the website and aspects of the software (e.g. E-commerce, Free Sign-up, Calculators).
  • Assist and Support the marketing team as they seek to gain intelligence through end-to-end tracking and other analytics tools.
  • Build custom website tools and features according to the Marketing teams that’ll be embedded on the website i.e. tax calculators or a simple quotes engine.

Role specific qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience using Webflow.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A portfolio of past Webflow projects you could call on for inspiration and problem solving.
  • Experience using a Design System or Component Library and an appreciation of the value these bring.

Desirable:

  • Awareness of SEO best practices.
  • A portfolio of past Webflow projects you could call on for inspiration and problem solving.
  • Experience in creating storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
  • Experience with website A/B testing.
  • Experience implementing AirTable, and other popular WebFlow integrations such as Finsuite and ElfSight offerings.
