Overview:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Web Developer to support a growing roster of client projects. This is a part-time, ongoing contractor role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced, multi-client environment. You'll collaborate with our internal creative and strategy teams to build and maintain conversion-focused, user-friendly websites using Webflow and Shopify. The right candidate is experienced, reliable, and passionate about clean code, responsive design, and optimizing performance across devices.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive, high-performing websites in Webflow and Shopify
- Customize Shopify themes, templates, and implement third-party apps
- Collaborate with designers to bring static designs to life with clean, scalable code
- Troubleshoot bugs and performance issues across browsers and devices
- Ensure compliance with accessibility, SEO, and performance best practices
- Support ongoing site updates and maintenance for multiple clients
- Communicate clearly with internal teams about progress, blockers, and ideas
- Stay current on platform updates and industry trends
- Client-facing communication will be required, with camera on during calls
Requirements:
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Advanced proficiency in Webflow and Shopify (including Liquid templating)
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with CMS platforms and e-commerce environments
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and SEO fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Available during Pacific Time business hours
- Can start immediately
- Is fluent in English (first language required)
Nice-to-Haves (Not Required):
- Experience with animation or micro-interactions (GSAP, Lottie, Framer Motion)
- Knowledge of APIs or back-end development (Node.js, PHP, Liquid)
- Familiarity with A/B testing or conversion rate optimization
- Experience with WordPress or headless CMS setups
