Humming Studios, LLC is a digital product and commerce consultancy delivering modern websites, Webflow builds, and e-commerce experiences for growth-focused clients. We are looking for a freelance full-stack developer who is highly fluent in Webflow and comfortable bridging front-end and back-end work when projects require integrations, custom logic, or data workflows. This is a contractor role paid hourly, aligned to clearly scoped Jira tickets (or equivalent). You will work alongside design, PM, and marketing team members in an organized delivery process.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Webflow sites (CMS, components, interactions, responsive layouts, performance).
- Implement custom front-end functionality when Webflow needs enhancement (HTML/CSS/JS).
- Support back-end and integration needs such as:
- Forms, automations, webhooks, APIs, Zapier/Make, HubSpot/Salesforce/CRM connections
- Data sync and lightweight middleware patterns (when needed)
- Authentication or gated content approaches (where applicable)
- Contribute to e-commerce experiences (ideal: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce; Webflow Ecommerce also valued).
- Work from tickets and acceptance criteria, communicating progress clearly and proactively.
- Participate in quick async updates and occasional structured calls (kickoffs, technical alignment, handoffs).
Must-Have Skills
- Strong Webflow experience: build quality, CMS architecture, responsiveness, interactions, and best practices.
- Full-stack mindset: you can handle tasks that touch front-end + integrations/back-end logic.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and modern web fundamentals (semantic HTML, CSS, accessibility).
- Experience working in a ticket-based workflow (Jira/Linear/Asana) with clear estimation and delivery.
- Strong communication: you can explain tradeoffs, blockers, and solutions in a practical way.
Nice-to-Have (Big Plus)
- E-commerce experience (any of: Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, headless concepts).
- Familiarity with SEO technical fundamentals, Core Web Vitals, and performance optimization.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., OpenAI/Codex-style tools, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, "cloud code" tooling) to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
- Comfort with basic DevOps concepts (domains, DNS, redirects, environments, deploy workflows).
How This Contract Works
Hourly contractor paid based on approved ticket time and deliverables. Work is assigned in weekly or bi-weekly batches depending on project demand.
You will receive:
- Ticket backlog with acceptance criteria
- Design references (Figma, guidelines)
- Access to Webflow workspaces and relevant tools
- A point of contact (PM) for prioritization and QA coordination
