Good Bones Studio designs bold brand identities and thoughtful digital experiences for startups, small businesses, and nonprofits. We partner with clients who are building meaningful products and services, and we help them reach their audiences in a big way.
We're looking for a mid-level Webflow Developer with a Design Systems background to join our team.
This role sits at the intersection of design and development. We are looking for someone who brings strong development and technical skills in Webflow, while having proficiency in graphic design and asset production.
The ideal candidate would be someone who comes from a design background and has grown into development, or from a development background with meaningful design experience. What matters most is that you are comfortable contributing to brand design systems, not just implementing finalized designs.
This role offers a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000, depending on agency experience, technical proficiency, and demonstrated strength across both visual design and Webflow execution.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both shaping brands through digital experiences and scaling them. You will spend the majority of your time designing and developing CMS driven Webflow websites, along with contributing to broader visual execution across client projects.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable moving between structure and visuals, from CMS architecture to layout precision and brand consistency.
What You'll Do
Webflow Development (Primary Focus)
You'll build responsive, scalable websites in Webflow based on Figma designs, with a strong emphasis on clean structure and long-term maintainability. This includes implementing thoughtful CMS architectures, creating reusable components and design systems, and maintaining organized, scalable class structures. You'll use native Webflow interactions to create engaging, performant experiences and QA and refine builds to ensure polish, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices.
You'll also support ongoing site enhancements, content updates, and performance optimizations, collaborating closely with designers to refine layouts and ensure consistency and quality across builds.
Graphic Design Support (Secondary Focus)
You'll be integrated with the design team to collaborate on a range of digital production needs, including designing and updating presentations, creating email templates and marketing assets, and preparing files for web and marketing collateral. You'll help build and maintain our client's brand systems and support graphic production.
Required Technical Skills
You bring a strong technical foundation that allows you to execute independently and think beyond surface-level builds. This includes:
- Advanced Webflow expertise, including CMS collections, components, variables, interactions, responsive layouts, and scalable class systems
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals, including layout systems, spacing, and responsive behavior
- Experience implementing on-page SEO best practices, including semantic structure, metadata, and performance considerations
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG), including keyboard navigation, contrast, and screen reader considerations
- Developing stable and responsive website layouts across multiple breakpoints, browsers, and devices.
Design & Collaboration Skills
You have a strong command of Figma, including components, auto layout, shared styles, and collaborative workflows. You bring solid graphic design fundamentals to your work, with a clear understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, and visual consistency. You're detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once, switching contexts smoothly while maintaining quality.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Shopify and/or Shopyflow is a plus, particularly in hybrid Webflow ecommerce setups.
- Familiarity with API-based tools, automation platforms, or CMS-driven content systems is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, especially for light enhancements, embeds, and third-party integrations
- Comfort working with third-party tools and integrations such as forms, advanced search and filtering, embeds, and automation tools (i.e. Finsweet, Algolia)
- Knowledge of animation principles and fundamentals
- Prior experience working in a studio or agency environment is helpful, as is comfort collaborating across design and development workflows.
