About the role
HNDRX is an award-winning creative studio building brand and digital experiences for ambitious global organisations. We combine strategy, creativity and technology to create work that performs as well as it looks.
As Lead Developer, you'll own the technical direction of the studio — from architecture and delivery to code quality and creative implementation. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our designers and collaborate with our developers to close the gap between what's imagined and what's built. This is the most senior technical role in the studio, with real autonomy and a genuine say in where HNDRX goes next.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across all active projects, from initial scoping through to deployment
- Architect and build complex Webflow sites using Client First, Mast, and Lumos frameworks
- Implement motion and interaction design using GSAP, Webflow Interactions, and Lottie — elevating design through craft, not decoration
- Scope and execute large-scale content migrations at 500–1,000+ page scale, including content mapping, CMS architecture, and scripted or tool-assisted execution
- Write custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to extend no-code capabilities where required
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs including Zapier, Make, and CRM platforms
- Establish and maintain code quality standards and review processes across the team
- Collaborate with designers and developers to raise the quality of output studio-wide
- Contribute to client-facing technical conversations, communicating clearly and confidently with global brands
- Adapt to a platform-agnostic approach — selecting the right tool for each brief, including headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity) and Shopify where required
Qualifications
Skills
- Deep proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and GSAP
- Expert-level Webflow development including CMS architecture, interactions, and performance optimisation
- Motion and animation fluency — you make interfaces feel alive with intention
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones using tools including Slack and ClickUp
Experience
- 5+ years of professional development experience, with genuine seniority in at least one major platform
- Proven track record delivering large-scale content migrations
- Experience working in a brand, design, or creative studio environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with designers and contribute to the creative process
Bonus qualifications
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity
- Shopify or eCommerce development experience
- Experience leading or mentoring other developers
- Awwwards submissions — personal or as part of a studio team
- A genuine eye for design — able to identify why something isn't working visually, not just technically
